Las Vegas Shuttle services include the Las
Vegas airport shuttle which serves all hotels and various Free Las Vegas
shuttles which serve selected locations.
Las Vegas Airport Shuttle buses between
McCarran International Airport and the various Las Vegas Hotels and Resorts
are offered by several different companies. On average one-way fares to
Strip hotels on any Las Vegas airport shuttle run about $4, and fares to
downtown or off-strip hotels run about $5. You can save money by buying
round-trip fares which run $8 to $10. The various Las Vegas airport shuttle
buses are easily located at the airport. Signs are posted around the baggage
claim areas which direct you to exits leading to Las Vegas shuttle buses,
taxis, or limos. The information desk personnel at the airport can provide
more specific information if necessary.
It is important to note that while you save
money by choosing a shuttle bus over a taxi you will spend more time waiting.
Shuttle buses usually wait until the bus is full before they depart. It
can take up to an hour to get to your hotel. If this time delay is unacceptable,
take a taxi. Taxi prices typically average $12 for strip hotels to $20 for
downtown hotels not including the tip.
If you do choose a shuttle, be sure to ask
the driver about details for your return trip to the airport. The driver
can provide you with important information including round-trip fare prices,
the phone number to call for pick-up, and when to call to ensure you arrive
at the airport in time.
